Tired of all the wrinkles & bubbles from tissue paper & napkins? I've got you covered!

Updated: Nov 16, 2023

I love printing on tissue paper for my craft projects, it is so versatile and easy to use. But, there are some people who are struggling with the paper jamming in your printer, or the ink smudging when you apply the decoupage medium to it.

Here's a fix! This rice paper is thicker than tissue paper or napkins, but it works the same way. You can tape it to your printer paper, then feed it through the printer like normal. It shouldn't jam because it's a thicker product and the printer likes thicker papers rather than thinner ones.

Once you've let the paper dry for about 30 minutes, add a quick coat of any type of spray sealer, I like to use Rustoleum Matte Spray Sealer. (You should be able to find this at any hardware store, and it lasts forever!) This will prevent the ink from bleeding when you apply the decoupage medium.

Add it to your project like normal, add the decoupage medium onto the object, then gently press the rice paper down onto the object, smoothing it with your fingers or a dry paint brush or even plastic wrap. This will prevent any further smudges.

Just an FYI, this rice paper is thicker so it will show up a bit more than thinner sheets like napkins and tissue paper, but I think it looks amazing anyway!

Let me know if you try this paper and what you think of it!!

Happy Crafting!

Sandra
